Last week we let you know that we have to move. It was crappy at first, but not anymore.

We are really, really excited for our new spot and we’re tired of keeping it a secret. So, here it is!

Glacier Raft Company in Golden, B.C.

Glacier Raft Company's new rafting base and lodge

Our new base is still in Golden, BC and it’s only a couple of minutes from the Kicking Horse River. We’re up on the bench that overlooks town. We’re tucked away in the forest but have beautiful views of the Purcell Mountain Range.

There are lots of exciting things about this new location and here are a few of our favourites - even though we’re hoping you’ll come see for yourself!

1. We Now Have Accommodation

Our new base has a 10 room lodge, so, if you love spending time with us on the river, you can now sleep with us too (well… not sleep with us, but sleep in the same building. We won’t be sleeping together.)

2. We Have Hot Showers

If you’ve ever thought, ‘I’d really like a shower after peeling off this amazing wetsuit’, now you can!! Hot showers for everyone.

3. We Have a Yard with Trees and Grass

If you rafted with us before you’ll know why this is so exciting. We loved our old base and we put up with being in the middle of a gravel dustbowl, but we are excited for grass! This means you can relax with your beverage and soak in the mountain views – without getting sandblasted. Hurray for nature!

Our list could go on and on but we don’t want to spill all of the magic in this post. Come see for yourself!

As lodging is completely new to us, we’re still ironing out some of the kinks. If you have questions or would like to book a room please give us a call at 1 877 344 7238 or email trips@glacierraft.com

With any change it’s always nice to see familiar faces so we hope to see you soon!

Cheers from Carmen, Ryan and the rest of our Glacier Crew
