While we celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, we are celebrating the wonders of our national parks along with it. With Golden, B.C. being surrounded by six national parks, we have decided to feature a few of our favourite hikes to help you decide which ones are worthy of your attention.
From our hiking series, you are probably aware by now how fortunate we feel to live where we do. Golden’s backyard has some of the best scenery in the area, with its lush forests, elaborate peaks and rushing waterfalls. Yet, a little known gem exists one hour east from our little oasis, and it just so happens to be one of the most coveted drives in the world.
With Canada reaching it’s 150th birthday milestone this year, we know the parks will be flooded with people looking to experience the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Luckily, Golden is located in the heart of six national parks, meaning we have access to hundreds of trails, right in our backyard.
Since our team here loves adventure, we have some experience exploring each of these national parks, and want to share what we think are some of the best hikes in the area.
Golden is surrounded by six national parks which makes it a fun place for adventurers. From hiking and biking to paragliding and trail running, these parks make the daylight hours extremely joyful. In honour of Canada’s 150th birthday, we have decided to name our favourite trails in each of the parks, to help out all of you who will be coming to take in the magnificent peaks.
