The Kicking Horse Classic river rafting trip in Golden, BC rafts the upper and middle sections of the Kicking Horse River. The Kicking Horse Classic trip brings wild whitewater and spectacular scenery together to entertain youth and adults alike. Start your day relaxing while you meander through the beautiful rocky mountains on the scenic float section of the Kicking Horse River. This is a great opportunity for you to practice your paddling techniques and get accustomed to river rafting before you hit the whitewater. We then hit Hopi's Hole, a class 3 wave guaranteed to get you wet and put a smile on your face. Ten minutes later we stop for our famous and fantastic riverside steak BBQ lunch . After lunch is when the exciting whitewater trip really kicks into gear. The whitewater begins with 'Portage and Shotgun', a kilometre stretch of Class 4, followed by many more Class 3 & 4 rapids throughout the middle canyon on the Kicking Horse River.
This rafting adventure is ideal for those looking for a more intermediate whitewater experience, or for those too young to raft the Lower canyon.
