FAMILY FRIENDLY RIVER RAFTING IN GOLDEN BC
Are you feeling a bit nervous about hopping in a raft? Are you travelling with young children? Do you want to sit back, relax and enjoy floating through the Canadian Rockies? A family rafting trip in Golden BC is for you!
You’ll start your day off in Yoho National Park, meandering down the Kicking Horse River. You're surrounded by forests and mountain peaks and there's a chance to hop in for a swim if you want to.
There are some small bumps and splashes on our Family Adventure, but it's not a getting soaked, white water rafting kind of trip. It's a fast paced float through beautiful mountain scenery.
You'll stop at the Fountain of Youth. A short walk up a little canyon will bring you to a beautiful cascading waterfall. Take a drink or dunk your head and see if it lives up to its name.
You'll raft the upper canyon of the Kicking Horse which is class 1 with some class 2 - 2+ sections, as well. It's a family friendly rafting experience in Golden BC, for kids as young as 4 years old. The Family Adventure is a gentle introduction to being on the river and it produces a lot of smiles.
You’ll enjoy a big riverside BBQ lunch. Think juicy hamburgers, chicken burgers and sizzling smokies – with options for our veggie and GF friends too. Kids always enjoy our chips and granola bars, and we have water or iced tea to quench your thirst.
This is the ‘Can we pleeeeease do that again tomorrow?’ trip for little kids and first timers alike!
And in fact, people do love their trip so much they sometimes join us again the very next day! Check out the review below by Kdiv650 from TripAdvisor.

A Few More Details for family rafting in golden bc
* All guests 19 years and older must read and agree to a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement prior to their rafting trip. Guests under 19 must be signed by a guardian. You can VIEW THE WAIVER HERE.
*If you’re loving your day and want to go further, let your guide know and they’ll make it happen. This is for rafters who are at least 12 years old and 90 lbs, and provided we still have space available. There is no guarantee. We'll charge the difference in price to the credit card we have on file. If your kids meet the requirements to raft the middle canyon, we recommend booking the Full Day Rafting Trip up front. It offers more excitement and it's the only way we can guarantee your spots.
*We hold the right to cancel a trip if water levels fluctuate to a level that makes it unsafe for us to raft. Water levels are completely dependent on Mother Nature, so we may not know until the day before, or morning of the trip. Safety is the only consideration when making this decision. If we cancel a trip for this reason you will receive a full refund.
*The child rate of $89.00 applies to anyone who is 11 and under.
* There's a $5.50 Land Use Fee and 5% GST applied to all trips.
