As a small, family run business we still notice the little things. We'll greet you with a smile when you arrive, and cheers you with a bevy before you leave. We want your day with us to be memorable and darn entertaining (not sure if you heard, but our guides have really funny jokes!)

There was once a time when people rafted the Kicking Horse in garbage bags and jeans (check out the photo below). No wetsuits, no booties, no helmets - no problem! Except it is. The water is 3 degrees Celsius which is, well.... refreshing.

We do better. We're the only company in Golden with hot showers at our base, and neoprene jackets and socks to keep you warm (think of them as extra comfort - like a seal plumping up with blubber).

We have a professional photographer and guides who shoot HD video of every trip. We finish each day with you - and a complimentary beverage - around our campfire. There's never a rush for you to leave, and that's exclusive to Golden white water rafting.

While this may not seem important, having the same core crew year after year is a big deal. Our crew comes back because they LOVE what they do. They love being outside, on the river, having fun, and who doesn't love being around happy, positive people?

Returning staff also have higher levels of experience, knowledge and expertise.

Our crew aren't just ‘staff’. They are teachers and storytellers, instructors and mentors, trip planners and environmental advocates. They're the kind of people you want to spend time with.

We are the only company who has a professional, onsite photographer - no bus drivers taking photos for us. Our photographer will be snapping photos throughout the day, and at some of the best white water sections on the Kicking Horse River.

We're also the only company on the Kicking Horse to film HD video of every rafting trip. Our guides are equipped with GoPro cameras and they shoot video from multiple vantage points.

We'll capture the highlights from your day so you don't have to worry about it! You can view all your media at the end of your trip on one of our tv's or tablets.
