As we all know by now, Canada is celebrating it’s 150th birthday. In honour of this lovely milestone, the nation’s national parks are opening its doors at no charge. With Golden, British Columbia being located in the heart of six national parks, we know you will be exploring these national beauties and most likely be staying more than one day to soak in all the scenery.

While we celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, we are celebrating the wonders of our national parks along with it. With Golden, B.C. being surrounded by six national parks, we have decided to feature a few of our favourite hikes to help you decide which ones are worthy of your attention.
From our hiking series, you are probably aware by now how fortunate we feel to live where we do. Golden’s backyard has some of the best scenery in the area, with its lush forests, elaborate peaks and rushing waterfalls. Yet, a little known gem exists one hour east from our little oasis, and it just so happens to be one of the most coveted drives in the world.
